FAQ

Corn Maze Admission Info

Enter the Fun Park via the admissions, get the Access All Area Day Pass for the best value. This allows you on everything as many times as you like! You will be given a coloured wristband which will get you  in and out throughout your visit, so you can visit the Farm Shop, Moo Cafe, Farm Walk.

Best value ticket is the Access All Areas Day Pass Adult, Children, under 3’s free. If you plan to visit multiple times then opt for the Season Pass for any 4 people which this year will also allow you to use the jumping pillow etc. at all events excluding pumpkins.

The Maze 2018 design Farmer Copleys Cows!

The 2017 design was chosen by Jacob… it was a John Deere Tractor theme, ‘Nothing Runs Like A Deere.’ Following on from this theme we have moved from Machinery to Livestock and for 2018 the theme is cows, all the questions in the maze relate to cows and the dairy industry (education through fun). Upon entry to the maze you will be given a gaming sheet, with the Maze-o-Vision map on the back (don’t forget your glasses!), a crayon for rubbings and you receive a pen with your glasses.

Listen to the video briefing and then off you go into the maize. The maze should take you an average of 2 hours, but the record is 45 mins (this was with maze-o-vision glasses though).

The design is different every year as unlike a hedge maze ours is planted every May and harvested in the Autumn, so if you’ve been before, it will be a totally different design. 2011 design Buttercup, 2014 was a gigantic T REX!, 2016 was the Mad Hatter, John Deere and Cows for 2018. This Maze design with gaming sheets has to be one of the best in the UK, if not the best. So come and judge for yourself.

The gaming stations are littered throughout the maize and there are a lot so it helps keep everybody interested and enthused to find the next station. Happy Hunting!

Fun Park Activities

All the activities are chosen and built for use by everybody, children and adults, so ensure you try everything and don’t be embarrassed, we know all the adults are really desperate to have a go! And they are all included in the admission price.

Jumping Pillow

This has to be the most fun ever! It’s bold, it’s bright and it’s stripped. A great big pillow filled with air! It’s the largest jumping pillow available in the UK, 50ft x 30ft and 41⁄2 ft tall in the middle! We first came across jumping pillows at Cherry Crest Farms in Lancaster County PA, at which point, once we’d all stopped laughing, we decided we had to get one.

Mini Wagon Ride

Climb aboard the mini wagon ride and drive through the maize pulled by our quad bike, great for children of all ages. Interesting fact about this barrel ride is that it was made by the Amish – another first for the UK. With its new mini John Deere tractor to pull the ride!

Bale Mountain

The simplest of activities yet one of the most popular, a huge pile of D1000 bales in a pyramid shape which children climb up, down, run around, play hide and seek, using their imaginations and having a ball.

Tyre Mountain

Tyre Mountain is similar in design to Bale Mountain, made from super-sized construction tyres, piled high and then filled with sand to make them stable and topped with innovative child friendly rubber bark – Jungle Bark, avoiding children getting sandy or damp!

Copley’s Corn Maze Slide

You will be able to see the slide on site before you see anything else. The slide is 25ft high at the platform, emblazoned with Farmer Cob, Corn and Pumpkins. You can climb up and slide down as many times as you like or you can stop before you’re worn out. Once you’ve raised your heart rate, treat yourself at the Corn Café to a well earned Latte or Ice Cream. Children must be able to climb unaided and there is a minimum age restriction of 3 years old.

NEW FOR 2018 Copleys Challenge

The Copleys Challenge is a 100ft inflateable assult course, designed for children and adults to play together. We did have the Jump Pad but it went up in flames in the recent barn fire in early June 2018, however we believe every cloud has a silver lining and that the children will actually enjoy this more and burn off more energy.

Dino Carts

These are serious Pedal Carts, adjust the seat to fit your leg length then off you go, Dads can race their children or you could try endurance! We also have some smaller ones for tiny tots in a separate area, and a sand pit as all little ones love a sand pit!

Corn Café

The Corn Café provides proper coffee the same as we are famous for in MOO Café. The menu includes freshly cooked burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, popcorn, scones with clotted cream and homemade jam. Alternatively the wristband you get at admissions will allow you to wander over to MOO Café and have lunch, see the animals (in the small open farm) and pop back into the Maze and fun park later, with no hassle. See we’ve thought of most things! We also have the ice cream van, with Birchfield Dairies Homemade Jersey ice cream.

Safety

We have a video briefing upon entry to the maize, Corn Rangers in the maize itself, and flags for people walking through the maize. The fun park is in a field so we ask people to wear sensible footwear i.e. trainers, and to pick up their feet. Socks must be worn on the slide and are recommended for the Pillow and Pad but not necessary (in sunny weather certain colours can get hot). If its warm we also recommend sunscreen and sunglasses. If the weather is wet, we are still open and very lucky as we are on a sandy site, this allow any water to drain away quickly (a bit like been on a beach) but again sensible footwear is always recommended to get the most enjoyment out of the day.

Children’s Corn Maze Parties

Looking for something different to celebrate your son or daughter’s birthday with, then please look at the Party Leaflet below. In previous years they have been fabulous, the reviews were A-Mazing and the children loved them as did the parents, happy children = happy parents. We have The Stable and The Barn for party food, depending on numbers booked.

Upon booking your child’s party you can send the downloadable party invitations out (we also e-mail you the thank you notes to print off). On the day you will have your own private party tent for the duration of the party tea. The party tea is a traditional homemade tea including real butterfly buns. We will discuss your requirements at booking. Once the party is finished you are free to stay for the rest of the day, until closing if you want, and there’s no rushing,  all adding up to making a special day all the more special. Please speak to Heather or India on 01977 600 200 for more details.
