Easter Down on the Farm
From 14th April to 18th April 2019
At Farmer Copleys
Spring has sprung down on the farm! The daffodils are out, the fields are full of lambs.
We love this time of year when we can all get outside to enjoy the fresh air and spring sunshine. When you visit the farm you will see the lambs running around the fields, the best bit of the day is when they all run together (often around the jumping pillow!) in what we term the ‘Nursery’. You will see 20 or more lambs all playing and running together, it’s quite a sight. The farm walk is available (no admission), it is 0.5 Km around the farm paddocks with the animals in for you to see, helps make your visit more of a ‘Trip Out’.
The Easter Festival starts on Sunday 14th April through to Thursday 18th April. Open daily 10:00 am until 4:00 pm hosting lamb demonstrations throughout the day at 11:30am and 2pm in the barn just above the duck pond near the farm shop. You can also hold an Easter Chick, a real one, under supervision from one of the team. There is also a free Easter Trail, with a chocolate gift for every child. Providing the weather is dry we will also have the Jumping Pillow, Giant Slide, Barrel Ride, Peddle Carts and our inflatable assault course which are charged at £2 a go.
The 5 Towns Christian Fellowship are hosting a Good Friday Service upstairs in The Barn on Friday 19th April . Doors will open at 9:30am for a 10am start, followed by Hot Cross Buns and refreshments.
The National Vintage Tractor Road Run will be visiting us for a few hours from 11am on Easter Sunday 21st April with an appearance from the Yorkshire Air Ambulance too! We hope to see over 450 tractors of all shapes, colours and sizes.
